The Africa Basketball Festival (ABF) marks a major milestone this year. Five (5) incredible years of bringing together basketball, fashion, and music in one unforgettable celebration of African talent and culture.

To honor this achievement, the organizers have introduced a special “5” theme that runs through every part of this year’s festival. From December 10th to 14th, the University of Ghana Basketball Court will come alive for “five straight days” of thrilling entertainment, exciting competition, and cultural celebration all starting at 3PM daily.

Hosted by the University of Ghana Sports & Wellness Directorate, ABF 2025 promises to be bigger, bolder, and more immersive than ever. Five countries will battle it out for the prestigious “ABF 5th Anniversary trophy, bringing top-tier basketball action and continental rivalry to the court.

But it doesn’t stop there. This year’s festival will showcase “five outstanding fashion brands” during the much-anticipated ABF Fashion Show & Cultural Night, where style meets heritage under the lights. To top it all off, fans will be treated to “five musical performances” featuring some of Africa’s hottest music talents.

As part of the 5th anniversary celebration is The Bitcoin Classics, a one-day intense basketball competition amongst the top clubs in Ghana. This is on Thursday 11th December at UG Basketball Court.

Five years strong and still rising, Africa Basketball Festival continues to redefine the fusion of sports, culture, and creativity in Ghana and beyond.

Fans went wild as DopeNation performed a mix of their top songs, setting the stage ablaze with their new single. The vibe was amplified when they announced an impromptu Dance-Off challenge, calling out the crowd to showcase their moves for a chance to win a cash prize of 1,000 Cedis. The crowd erupted as talented dancers from all corners of the festival came forward, each hoping to win the title of Top Dancer.

As they blasted through the speakers, dancers showcased their best moves, turning the court into an energetic dance floor. The competition was fierce, with dancers delivering jaw-dropping spins, and signature DopeNation-inspired moves. DopeNation kept the crowd hyped, cheering on participants and amping up the excitement with every beat. After an
intense round of dancing, the Top Dancer was announced to thunderous applause and awarded the 1,000 Cedis prize right on stage.
