Accra, Ghana – Africa Basketball Festival (ABF) is proud to announce the University of Ghana as the official host for its highly anticipated 4th edition. The festival, set to take place from 24-27 October, 2024, will bring together ten (10) countries in basketball action, 15 fashion brands, musicians and key figures for 4days of exciting games, fashion shows, music performances and cultural exchange.
As one of Africa’s premier lifestyle events, the Africa Basketball Festival has become a cornerstone for the growth and celebration of basketball culture. The University of Ghana, with its state-of-the-art sports facilities and rich history of supporting sports excellence, will provide the perfect backdrop for the festival’s activities.
Dr. Austin Luguterah, Director of University of Ghana Sports Directorate shared his excitement at the selection of University of Ghana as the host of the 2024 festival: “The University of Ghana is honoured to serve as the host for the 2024 Africa Basketball Festival. We are committed to promoting sports as a critical tool for youth engagement, sportsmanship and unity across Africa. Hosting the Africa Basketball Festival aligns with our vision to position the University as a leader in both academic and extracurricular excellence. The 2024 Africa Basketball Festival, which is the 4th edition, will feature a variety of events, including competitive basketball matches and talent showcases. The festival will also highlight different cultures through fashion, music and dance creating a dynamic atmosphere for all attendees.
