2019
Inaugural Event
The maiden edition took place on Tuesday 24 th December, 2019 at the Bukom Boxing Arena, Accra. The game featured All-Star Teams from two (2) Ghanaian cities, Accra and Tema.
It also featured 3-Point Shootout Contest, Dunk Contest and Ladies Free Throw Contest.
2022
Return After Hiatus
Due to COVID-19, the event was not held on 2020 and 2021. It returned in 2022 with four (4) countries competing. Team USA faced Team France in the INTERNATIONAL CONTEST while Team Ghana faced Team Nigeria in the AFRICA CONTEST.
Music performances by EDEM, EPIXODE, DON ITCHI, KOBI RANA and FLAWLESS DANCERS, KING XCEL,
NEGRO BANKS, etc while sports and undergarment brand BEAUTIFUL BENEATH as well as ELIKEM THE
TAILOR and BLOOM BY EDZI provided entertaining Runway Show in between the games.
2023
Expansion and Growth
The 2023 edition had 6teams: two (2) in the International Contest and four (4) in the Africa contest. The International contest had USA and France while the Africa contest had Ghana, Nigeria, Togo and Liberia.
The fashion show featured Elikem The Tailor, Beautiful Beneath and Bloom By Edzi. Music by both top and budding talents. The 2023 Africa Basketball Festival took place from Friday 15 th – Sunday 17 th December, 2023 at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

Plans for the next edition are already underway, promising even more excitement, talent, and unforgettable moments for basketball fans.
